A Non-Profit Organization that aims to serve the purpose of providing young South African high school learners with the skills to unlock their future careers, and tackle the challenge of youth unemployment, is looking for a Partnerships and Business Development Intern.
As the Partnerships and Business Development Intern, you will support two departments within the NPO, namely Partnerships and Business Development. In performing your responsibilities, you will work closely with the Head of Partnerships and the Head of Business Development.
Responsibilities
- Conducting donor and partner research, including internal and external data analysis on current and potential partners and donors relevant to the office
- Assisting in generating leads for the Business Development and partnerships teams
- Assisting in the team’s relationship-building activities and related mission/meeting preparations and follow-up
- Updating the internal working tools, including internal information/knowledge management tools
- Researching and developing potential new partner and donor profiles, as well as associated engagement strategies
- Research and draft business/market analyses concerning possible partnership opportunities
- Research, draft, update and maintain partner profiles and briefs according to changing/shifting donor priorities, areas of focus, and country strategies;
- Research and draft partner engagement and outreach strategies in support of key partner management
- Monitoring of business development/donor websites to aid in the identification of potential business acquisition opportunities
Qualifications
- Busy completing Bachelor, Masters, or Ph.D. or must have graduated from such studies within 3 years prior to the application date of the internship.
- The candidate should ideally have a combination of degrees including one in public policy, administration, law, international relations, economics, business, communications, or other related areas.

Remuneration
R1 500 for a period of 6 months, with the possibility of renewal.
