Types of screening assessments

  • Topic Specific Questions (TSQs);
    • A section of the vetting test, or the entire vetting test, could have questions, or sections, that relate to a specific skill set or industry, to test the applicants’ know-how of concepts in these areas.

  • Criteria Cognitive Aptitude Test;
    • A section of the vetting test, or the entire vetting test, could have questions, or sections, that test your natural cognitive abilities. Generally, we divide cognitive aptitude tests into four sections:
      • Logical reasoning,
      • Numerical reasoning,
      • Spatial reasoning,
      • Verbal reasoning and comprehension.

  • Video submission;
  • As part of the screening assessment, you may be required to record a video answering a few questions, presenting a pitch, or explaining a concept.

How to Prepare and Practice for Jobox’s Assessments

Is it possible to prepare for Jobox’s screening assessments? It most definitely is, and we encourage it.

Before completing a Jobox screening assessment, you will be taken to a landing page with instructions for the assessment. Please stop and read through the instructions properly before beginning the assessment. The topics, such as SQL or verbal reasoning, that are going to be covered in the assessment will always be clearly stipulated on the page, so go and research those topics before you begin.

Even though CCATs are designed to test natural cognitive abilities, it is possible to strengthen these abilities and thus score better on your CCAT assessment.
